Is there any option to attend the event in person?
No, or at least not at this moment. As we strive to provide the best learning experience in safe conditions for all attendees, speakers and sponsors, we've opted for a unique online experience. Due to the current worldwide healthcare situation, we felt this was the only responsible option.

Do I need multiple tickets for multiple individuals in my home?
Not at all! As this will be an online gathering, one ticket purchase will suffice for your whole family, group of friends or colleagues. Please do not share the link beyond your home, though.
How many people will be following this event?
This is a completely new experience for us so we aren't completely sure, but it is likely that we will have people from all around the world watching! The beauty of a virtual audience is also that we can hold many more people than the 100 we were allowed for the physical event!
How do I watch TEDxVilvoorde on my TV?
There are different ways to connect your laptop, tablet or smartphone to your TV. Check out our information page on this website.
Can I watch the event with my children?
Yes! This event is suitable for all ages. Tweens (roughly 8–12), teens (13–17) and students of all ages are welcome. To watch this event together with the whole family and with people of different ages is actually recommended. We all see the world and our future differently so to have inspiring conversations that matter about the future in your family to watch TEDxVilvoorde together will be great experience.
Why is there a charge for this event?
We do know why you're asking as we asked ourself the question if we could offer it for free. However, we quickly came to realise that online doesn’t mean there aren’t any costs involved, on the contrary. The fee which we have tried to keep to a minimum for this event is to help offset the various technical costs. Also, although we are a non-profit organisation, to create this event we do have to invest in different and often self-employed professionals (who are struggling in these difficult times). The fee also helps ensure all aspects of the day can operate smoothly, which is necessary whether there’ are 1, 200 or 3000 people participating.
What's the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable due to the nature of this event. However, we do understand that things are changing every single minute, and should we be unable to hold this event in any sort of capacity, tickets would be refunded. The TEDxVilvoorde team reserves the right to adjust or change the look and feel of the event to meet the needs of our community. If the event is able to continue in any way, the ticketing system will remain in effect.
What platform will you be using to stream the event?
We'll be using Swapcard an online platform that has all the features you would find and expect from a TEDx event.
Can I check-out the platform before and after the event?
Yes, you can. We foresee that when you've registered you will be able to go the the platform from 1/10/2020 and connect with others. More information will be sent to you after you've subscribed.
