In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized non-profit events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

Why is there a charge for this event?
We do know why you're asking as we asked ourself the question if we could offer it all for free. However, we quickly came to realise that online doesn’t mean there aren’t any costs involved, on the contrary. The fee which we have tried to keep to a minimum for this event is to help offset the various technical costs. Also, although we are a non-profit organisation, to create this event we do have to invest in different and often self-employed professionals (who are struggling in these difficult times). The fee also helps ensure all aspects of the day can operate smoothly, which is necessary whether there’ are 1, 200 or 3000 people participating.

What's the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable due to the nature of this event. However, we do understand that things are changing every single minute, and should we be unable to hold this event in any sort of capacity, tickets would be refunded. The TEDxVilvoorde team reserves the right to adjust or change the look and feel of the event to meet the needs of our community. If the event is able to continue in any way, the ticketing system will remain in effect.
