TEDxVilvoorde was a unique online TEDx experience that took place on 10.10.2020. All the talks including the intermezzos by Alex Si are now available via replay-on-demand.
With the topic "What the Future?!," first-time TEDx organiser Tom Meyers wanted to raise awareness on a unique human feature that will help humanity navigate these uncertain and fast-changing times: "futures thinking".
Incorporating futures thinking into your decisions and choices today is essential to create a good future. Because every decision and choice you make has an impact on your future and those around you. This is also true on a global scale where what happens now will define the next hundred even thousands of years. COVID-19, the explosion in Lebanon, Black Lives Matter and our current climate challenges show us the effects our actions or inactions have and the urgency to act now. On top of these examples the World Economic Forum predicts that 1 billion Jobs or almost one-third of all jobs worldwide, are likely to be transformed by technology in the next 10 years. Today you have a choice to make. Will you turn a blind eye to y'our future "Que Sera Sera" or will you take the opportunity to prepare yourself, make a difference and create a good future where we all flourish in the flow of evolution.
